FILL - Liquid Courage (Underage, Intoxication)

“Come on, Daisuke! Have another!” Taichi hands Daisuke another beer and slaps him on the back, and Daisuke accepts it, cracking it open clumsily and knocking it back. He takes a gasping breath after coming up from chugging it, and his bleary eyes find Ken from all the way across the room. He walks over with an unsteady but cheerful spring in his step, flinging himself onto Ken’s lap where he sits huddled on the sofa in the corner.
“Keeen! I missed you!” he exclaims loudly in Ken’s ear, flinging his arms around Ken’s neck. Heat immediately gathers in Ken’s face and neck, and the insatiable beast within him gives a pleased purr at the feeling of Daisuke touching him so much. He feels the sinful rub of Daisuke’s thighs on top of his own and has to bite his lip to keep from squirming.
“Did’you miss me too?” Daisuke draws the word out and giggles. Ken sighs – his best friend is completely sloshed. Taichi and his friends are currently hosting a graduation party for Takeru, Hikari, Daisuke and Ken, who have all graduated high school this month. It was originally supposed to be a casual party without any alcohol, but Taichi insisted on bringing drinks and has been freely offering them to the minors all evening. Ken has steadfastly refused every offer that has come his way, but Daisuke wasn’t able to resist the temptation of getting a taste of alcohol – nor the chance to impress his seniors, it seems. He has now finished his fourth beer – Ken has been keeping count – and is growing rapidly more unruly. Plus, he’s touchier than ever.
“You were chatting to me like two seconds ago, Daisuke,” Ken tells him, putting up a huffy front even though his heart is secretly doing somersaults.
“Really? Seems like ages ago t’me.” Daisuke is slurring his words slightly, and he’s talking way too loudly in Ken’s ear.
“Will you talk to me s’more, then? Have a drink with me?” He swears he can feel Daisuke’s lips touch his ear. Waves of heat cascade through his body. Daisuke is his best friend. He can’t afford risking their friendship. But having him here in his lap, so close to him, breathing in his ear, sending shivers down his neck… he isn’t sure how much more of this he can handle.
“… I think you’ve had quite enough drinks for tonight.” As much as he secretly enjoys Daisuke’s touches, he doesn’t want his friend to suffer more than necessary in the morning.
“Come on, dun’ be shuch a party pooper!” Daisuke protests, digging his face into Ken’s neck and breathing deep. “Mmm… You smell reaaally good…”
Ken glances surreptitiously around the room. The loud crowd of people in the room aren’t paying any attention to the two of them, huddled in the far corner as they are. He allows himself to bring a hesitant hand up to touch Daisuke’s back in a sort of half-hug. His friend revels in this attention, hugging himself even closer. One of his hands travels down Ken’s chest, dragging the fabric of his t-shirt along with it.
“Feels so good to hold you… Wanna hold you aaall th’ time…” he mumbles against Ken’s skin, which grows impossibly hot at his words. That sinful beast in him rears its ugly head. Daisuke is drunk – he doesn’t really mean it. Although Daisuke is typically touchy-feely with him, he doesn’t actually have feelings for Ken. After all, if he did, he would have said something by now, wouldn’t he? Daisuke isn’t the type to think much before he acts or speaks. Surely he wouldn’t be able to hold a secret like this for very long – not like Ken can.
“Y’know, Ken, y’re real… pretty, did’ya know that?” Daisuke lifts his head to look at him with a satisfied little grin on his face.
Ken gasps. Drunk or not, Daisuke has never said anything like that to him before.
He stares at Daisuke, at the warm gold swimming in his eyes. If only he weren’t so drunk – if only Ken’s insides would stop fluttering incessantly. If only Ken could have what he wants. It’s only Daisuke, only him – it will only ever be Daisuke.
“Oi, you two! Stop making out on the couch and come join the game!”
The abrupt call from Yamato startles Ken right out of his reverie and he leans away from Daisuke as if burned, shame pooling hot in his gut.

GODDAMNIT KEN !!!! kiss the stupid fuck, THEN he’d realize he’d in love with you!!! but ahhh drunk touchy feely dai is so great, underage drunk is one of my fave tropes lol and this is perfect, ken just trying not to squirm while daisuke drapes himself aaaall over him... gosh, smelling and touching him, COMPLIMENTING HIM!! ken please give into the beast and eat his face immediately!!
