“Hah! That’s one point for me!” Daisuke jumped up and down, his arms swinging wildly with each ecstatic thrust up, turning to where Ken stopped with his arms on his thighs, breathing heavily. “Now you gotta do a dare.”
“Okay.” Ken caught his breath, stretching up with an arch of his head as his hair swayed in the wind, a bit of sweat flinging off his brow. Daisuke forgot how to speak, merely watching as Ken’s arms lifted, taking the hem of his shirt with them, a glimpse of Ken’s bellybutton all he could see.
Ken moved as if through water, so poised and graceful at all times, and his lips wrapped around the air with a hint of a pout as he glided up to Daisuke’s face.
“Daisuke? Did you hear me? What’s my punishment?”
“Kiss?” The word came out before Daisuke could really think about them, and they made him go red and look down at the grass. “I mean, tell me who you’ve kissed?”
“Oh, well...” Ken’s feet shifted in his periphery. “I haven’t really...kissed anyone.”
“Really? But you’re so - “ cool and popular and pretty and everybody wanted to kiss Ken, Daisuke included.
“I haven’t really... wanted to kiss anyone. Who’s asked.”
“You want to kiss someone who hasn’t asked?”
But Ken had turned to retrieve the ball from the soccer goal. “You already asked one question. You’ll have to make another point for another.”
His face fell. He almost never got two point against Ken in their skirmishes, and he’d wasted the one penalty game he’d had on a dumb question.
But Ken wasn’t playing his best either. He seemed... distracted by something, ending up giving away the ball in a hard exchange that had Daisuke plowing back towards his goal again.
As soon as it swished against the net, Daisuke turned to find Ken looking ready to bolt. He gripped his forearms, feeling the elevation of both of their hearts as they pounded from the exertion. Whether from the adrenaline or the look Ken gave him, he changed his question.
“Will you kiss me?”
Ken nodded before diving into his mouth.
