Ken's parents go away for an extended trip during summer vacation sometime the boys are in high school, but Ken stays behind for cram school or something like that. So he isn't alone and to help make sure Ken takes care of himself (emo boy is emo), Daisuke basically moves in with him while the Ichijoujis are away. All the UST!!!!!!!
