it all happens so fast — one moment they’re just walking and joking together in the park, and the next ken is yanking daisuke out of the way of a tree he was about to walk into because he was so distracted by the way ken’s stupid pretty eyes crinkle at their corners when he laughs. he crashes into ken and they both lose their balance, toppling over onto the grass, and when daisuke blinks to clear his vision he finds himself looking directly into the same eyes that caused this whole mess. there’s something soft and wet against his lips, and it takes a moment for his brain to register that they’re *kissing,* but once he hastily tears himself away, still gazing down into ken’s shell-shocked pools of blue, all he wants to do is dive back into them and *drown.*
