AU where Osamu is alive but Ken is still kidnapped and gets his neck scanned by Oikawa.
What I want is a scene showing Osamu’s reaction to learning what happened to Ken that night. This should be at a time when their relationship is still tense - the writer can decide to what degree - but Osamu still cares about Ken enough to be horrified at what he went through (and enraged at Oikawa for putting Ken through it), and this either leads directly to a reconciliation or starts the brothers on that path. Writer can can decide whether to show the reconciliation explicitly or just hint that there will be one in the future.
(Possible explanations for why they didn’t reconcile after Ken ran away to the Digital World: Ken never ran away in this AU; Osamu is outwardly angry at Ken for hurting their parents in order to deal with his own hurt feelings; Osamu knew where Ken was and was able to monitor the conquest via black squares appearing on a map, and thus wasn’t terrified for Ken’s wellbeing; the writer’s own reasons; or just don’t address it in this scene.)
